Hi! I’m Maya and I’m from Santa Monica, California. I’m going to spend the first half of my gap year at home, where I’ll work (babysitting and softball umpiring), intern with a screenwriter, and spend time with friends and family. I’m also planning on using my newfound free time to take advantage of all the amazing local theaters in my area and see as many movies as possible. In the new year, I’ll be traveling throughout Western Europe, studying Spanish in Barcelona, and doing service work with an elephant reservation and coral reef restoration efforts in Southern Thailand. I can’t wait to meet everyone in person next year on campus!
